R above my bars

Hi guys

I have an R appeared above my signal strength. I cant get rid of it and its affecting my calls. Anyone any advice on how i can get rid of it?

If you have one of the new SIM cards (Since Dec 17) and are using and old Version of Android then this happens as it is down to how the SIM is programmed. However it should not effect call handling.

Since the R has appeared. Places in which i could make calls now i cant. I try ringing and there is silence

Would help out a bit for advice, if you could let us know what phone you have, the Android version and what network your phone is displaying as connected too.
