OnePlus 8t/8 not receiving 5g

I have both a OnePlus 8t and 8 that are not receiving 5g signal even though the coverage shows full coverage indoor and outdoor.

I've just seen this - https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/8-pro-5g-connectivity-does-not-work-on-virgin-mobile-uk.1494439/ - seems to suggest that phone won't work on 5G I'm afraid.
