New SIM without needing PIN

Just received a new SIM card from Virgin for my Nokia 3310 as they moved me to the Oomph bundle.

The phone is working with the new SIM, but I no longer need to enter a SIM Pin to access. I have a Keyguard on the phone itself, but used to have to enter both the Keyguard and the SIM PIN.

There does not seem to be an option for setting the SIM Pin anymore - when I go into Security Settings on the phone, the only choices are Keyguard and Call barring.

Anyone know what is going on here? Do the new SIM's not require a PIN if you already have Keyguard set? Would be very nice if it is, as it saves entering two pass codes.

Re: New SIM without needing PIN

OK, silly me. Just discovered that the SIM PIN setting is not under System Security (?), but is under Network Settings. So have now re-instated it to what it was.
Would have been nice if both could have been combined - maybe next year!
