LTE

I have bought a Samsung S10+ and have used my Virgin SIM card from my IPhone X.

On my iPhone network shows as 4g but for some reason my Samsung is showing LTE.

simce then I can no longer send pictures via text messages also.

is this normal?

Re: LTE

4g and LTE are the same thing.

For sending picture messages, set it up by texting ALL to 789922

You'll get configuration messages for apn (data) and mms (for picture messages).

I hope you know that picture messages are 50p to send (I personally use whatsapp that's 50p less).

Re: LTE

4g and LTE = same thing for us, the phones firmware just set to show one or the other.

Picture Messages (MMS), on your iPhone it would have sent them as iMessage to other iPhone users. The Samsung is Android and will send them as a MMS @50p a go on Virgin - so you would need your Spending Cap set high enough to allow the costs. Also your APN might not be set-up correct, try sending a text "ALL" to 789922 to redownload them.

Edit: just to add, mobile data needs to switched on to send and receive MMS's.

Re: LTE

Sounds like you were sending pictures via Imessage - and so no you can't when you are on Android
