Re: Energizer Energy E12

Yes, manual very basic. The new SIM seems to eat battery power on whichever phone I use.

VOLUME:Permanent: Settings, Profiles, e.g. select General, Options, Settings,

Adjust Volume, e.g. Call, , Select, Up&down Centre navigation button

Temporary on call: Up & down centre Navigation button.

RINGTONE To add, you'll need SD card.

I've sent a ringtone via Bluetooth from another phone and set it as a ringtone.

I've used a very loud song from the SD card.

You could record your own loud message

SETTINGS: Profiles, e.g. General, Options, Settings,

Rename,

Ring settings, e.g. SIM1 call ring, OK, More ringtones, select from Memory card

Adjust volume, Caller ringtone, Up & down Navigator.

Ring type, e.g. SIM1 call alert, OK, e.g. Vibrate then ring

Other alert rings, Key tone; Battery low alert; Power ringtone; Dial tone.

The new SIM does seem to use more battery whichever phone used.

DEDICATED KEYS: Settings, Phone settings, Dedicated keys, Right soft key, e.g. select Contacts, OK. Similar for up,down, left, right centre navigation button.

RECORD CALLS: Settings, Call settings, Others, Auto record voice calls

SPEED DIAL: Contacts, All, Options, Others, Speed dial, assign contact to number key.

Re: Energizer Energy E12

Hi,

I bought my mother the Energizer to replace her old Nokia but it was very, very basic, not suitable at all. My mother is hard of hearing so I looked on the Hearing Direct website and bought her a Doro 1360, £30, which is great. Much better than her old Nokia and the Energizer, brighter screen, louder volume and the dreaded new Virgin SIM works in it!!!!. She still had several texts from Virgin saying to put the new SIM in (which it was) or service will be lost. I eventually got through to customer service, they checked the SIM card number and said the text messages were sent in error and her SIM will carry on working.

Hope this helps.

Re: Energizer Energy E12

Thanks Rob. Bought one from Amazon, so hopefully this will work for my 87 year old dad who has lost his access with his old Nokia. He only needs his phone to ring for pick him from hospital and he's due there on Thursday and so needs must!
