Activate SIM

Hi,

I've seen here

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/activate-a-sim

that in order to activate your SIM you just have to put it in your phone and wait a bit. However it's been more than 24h and the SIM status on my phone still says

"Mobile network state: disconnected

My phone number: Unknown"

I've tried to reboot my phone, looked at the help section the virgin website and at this forum but found nothing that could help me... Am I missing something ?

It simply took a few more hours after setting APNs manually. Number is still registered as "unknow" but the sim is connected and everything seems to work just fine.
