Menus but no picture or audio

Hello

I have a 2015 Tivo box plugged directly into a 2009 Samsung 4-Series TV via HDMI.

I turned both on the other day and can see the Virgin interfaces but have no TV picture or audio. It has never seemed to matter in which order I power the appliances up, and unplugging both for thirty minutes then restarting does not seem to make a difference. But when I try to plug my 2015 MacBook Pro into the TV, the display on both devices goes partly green, which I think indicates (what I have just discovered is called) a handshake failure. Is this also suggested by the "HDCP not enabled" against "HDMI Status" in the Virgin interface's System Info?

Any advice on how I can fix this would be much appreciated.
