Lost tivo card

After so.e recent building and redecorating work I have noticed that when getting my tivo box out of storage the card is missing. 

Very disappointing customer service from Virgin who now want £100 for them to send me a new one. Given that I have been a VIP customer for over 6 years, have three boxes, full house package including home and mobile phones it's as you can appreciate mift me!

Any advice welcome

I don’t understand the response you have had.

No Virgin Media box requires a physical card any more. It’s all done virtually.

very disappointing response from virgin media, I know I'm at fault but given my long term relationship with virgin I would have expected better customer support.

The box might need re-activating by Virgin if it's been turned off and disconnected from their network for a while, but definitely doesn't need a smart card in it any more.
