waiting for network

HI

I've taken my SIM out as my phone just went black but found out it was the screen. Put the SIM back in my phone but i cannot get anything now as it says i have no internet connection and its waiting for network. I.ve rebooted the phone and also rebooted the network settings. Can someone help with this please 😞

I can only use my phone when connected to wifi and this isn't very helpful to me.

Put the sim card into another phone to see if it's a problem with the sim.

If you only use the phone on wifi it should work even when the SIM is removed.
