Wireless Wifi Doorbell Camera compatibility

Looking to buy a wireless wifi doorbell camera but it states that it's only compatible with 2.4GHz wifi and does not support 5GHz wifi. I have a Hub 5 Virgin Media router but I can't figure out if I'm on 2.4 or 5 GHz. Any suggestions?

All Virgin Media Hubs support both 2.4 and 5GHz Wi-Fi.   Login to the Hub menu and you can see this in the Wireless Configuration.  Some customers find it helps to turn off the 5GHz Wi-Fi from the Hub for a period just leaving the 2.4GHz band running, this ensure your mobile and the door bell are on the same band during the setup process.

With Hub 5 you’re stuck with 5GHz and cannot change to 2.4 which renders many video doorbells as useless. I’ve had to bin my Ring 2 because it is not compatible with 5GHz and neither Virgin or Ring can assist. Ring have washed there hands on the issue but the customer needs to be aware.

"With Hub 5 you’re stuck with 5GHz and cannot change to 2.4"
This is not correct. VM Hubs 2/3/4/5 &5x are all dual band i.e. have both 2.4 and 5GHz Wi-Fi.

What is proving to be a compatibility problem is VM Hub 5 has Wi-Fi 6 enabled on the 2.4GHz band in a manner
that is not compatible with many single band Wi-Fi 4 802.11n devices.  The fix being to provide a Wi-Fi 4 service.
