And exactly why do you think there would be?

Look, VM are a company and like all commercial enterprises their only, only reason for existence is to make a profit - and that's really fair enough as long as everyone understands that, you don't, well sorry but tough!

Been a customer for 10 years? Good for you, but they, actually, owe you NOTHING at all, similarly, you owe them nothing and can dump them whenever you want - yes?

Thank for the message

I can beat that I have been a customer since 1996, was called Bell cablemedia. Then changed to NTL, and then VM.

So if anyone deserves a SH5 its me.

My external router already has a 2.5Gbps port on it, so an SH5 would help me break the 945Mbps, i currently get.

Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester)
Running on 1Gbps VM service with SH4 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS GT-AX6000 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk. If you are happy with my answers please press Kudo ?

Nice one David

And people ARE dumping VM wholesale where the ALTNETS build and Openreach do FTTP.

Yes, companies are there to make profit, but that is underlined by good customer service and therefore happy customers.

Not the customer fault if the company sends out cheap tat as hubs that have a range of issues and quite frankly, not fit for the purpose intended, hence modem mode for those that want to use their own router, VM's WIFI pods and the HUB5 coming.

Oh and don't get me started about HUB5's being sent to people on LOWER tiers than 1gbps. Customers on the 1gbps packages NEED the HUb5 as that is the only hub with a 2.5gbs WAN port to enable actual gigabit speeds to their own router instead of getting "near 1gbps" with the HUB4 for majority of those with a HUB4.

If VM don't like people asking for upgrades to what people think is more modern and capable kit, then open the availability of purchasing cable modems that meet DocSIS standards instead of insisting that VM supply a (duff) HUB...

We're gigabit customers, and we got a Hub 5 after entering details into a web link someone posted on another forum. It's been installed a couple of days now, and the improvement over the Puma 6 chipset is palpable (and measurable). We'll still be off to FTTP the second it's laid and live in our street - OR are two streets away now...

I saw a link too but it keeps saying missing URL Parameters, when did you use it?

Hopefully Beta Tester/Tech-Trialist: At some point

Couple of weeks ago, almost. Our Hub 5 was delivered on the 20th.

Or you could give Virgin £35 for a Hub 5

so how to I get the SH5 ? any links ? want to utilize my WiFi 6 hardware 'new mesh system' etc and get the full potential.

thx
