'Offered' a £6 price increase instead of £8??!

I received a phone call earlier from someone at VM trying to sell me a £6 price increase instead of the £8 one which is coming this March (which I am already aware of)..?!?

They were trying to sell me a 350Mb internet connection (I'm on a 200Mb with a Hub 3) and saying that if I accepted (which I did not), the price increase in March would be £6 instead of £8??!

Sometimes, I really do question if these calls are genuine - they always originate from overseas and the caller speaks in broken English so it really is difficult to understand what exactly they are offering..?!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi @deans6571

Just for peace of mind I suggest checking My Virgin Media and see if a new contract has been set up there.

It shouldn't happen, but you never know.

Thankfully, everything there looks as it should.
