Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

Either your phone isn't a compatible device or you need to do a full factory reset to get it working.

I have never had this issue with the TV Go App but did last year with the Sky Sports app.  Factory reset solved that one.

Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

I'm using Android 10 so maybe Virgin have not caught up yet.

I really don't want to factory reset so will probably just stick with TMS for the time being.

Thanks Graham

Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

I  have the same a Pixel 3 recently upgraded to Android 10.  It worked perfectly prior to the upgrade.  But now won't even open.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  I have no intention of doing a factory reset as everything else works perfectly.  I suspect that Virgin have not managed to make the app compatible with Andorid 10, it's not like they didn't know it was coming, but they probably won't fix it until other phones get upgraded and stop working as well.  Once enough people complain it may get fixed. Poor standards of development though.

Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

I have the same problem.

Virgin TV Go worked on my Pixel 3a until I upgraded it to Android 10.  Now it won't start.

Virgin TV Control app works, but I can't watch live TV from that.

Annoying.  Can't see how to message virgin via their website either.

Has anyone got it working yet?  Is there any other way to watch TV on mobile without TV Go?  I would like to watch BT Sport's today, away from home.

Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

It stopped working for me the day after the Android 10 update.

Come on Virgin get a fix.

Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

With Sky, I could watch TV on their website anywhere.  I could browse channels and send remote record requests to my box.

Virgin is way behind, and now Virgin Go can't even start.  Yesterday my broadband and TV service was broken, so I literally couldn't watch anything in any way.

Come on Virgin, get your act together before I switch back to sky (for TV service at least).

Re: Virgin TV Go APP crashes on Android

I just tried to use the Go app on my Pixel 3XL for the first time since upgrading to Android 10 and I'm getting the same behaviour as everyone else in this thread. It just shuts down before I can do anything.

I really don't want to do a factory reset on my phone, so I'm just going to have to wait until VM fix the bug. Is there any news on that?
