The Sky Sports App on my PC is running in a fast forward mode, runs out of data stops and repeats this process. Rebooting and reinstalling has not resolved this. iPad is working fine, which suggests something on my PC is causing the issue. Any suggestions?

The Sky Sports app on a PC hasn't been supported for a while now.
You should have installed and be using the Sky Sports Desktop Player which is a web based app instead. (screenshot below)

How to watch Sky Sports on a browser
Open Microsoft Edge on your Windows 10; the newest Apple Safari or OS X 10.9 – macOS 10.12 on your Mac; the newest Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on your Mac, Windows 7, 8.1 or 10; or Internet Explorer 11 on your Windows 7, 8.1 or 10.

Are I see I used the wrong description, as I am running the Desktop Player and have been using the Desktop Player for years.
Sorry for the wrong description in the original post.

Hi again @BarneyLongden
Have you tried using a different browser?
It might also be a keyboard problem. Have you tried disconnecting the keyboard?
This is a long shot, but do you have hardware acceleration, for example chrome://settings/system turned on in your browser?
If so try turning that off and see if it helps.

I did try Chrome and Edge and got the same issue with both.
I amended Chrome Setting - "Use hardware acceleration when available", but I'm afraid that didn't resolve the issue.

Hi there BarneyLongden,
Welcome to the community!
Can I ask does the issue occur on any other device also?
Let us know,

Hi @BarneyLongden,
Glad it's working on your Ipad.
Have you tried clearing cookies/cache and browsing history to see if this helps?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
Since upgrading my PC and re-installing Windows10, my sky sports player has also been in fast forward mode.
Chrome and Edge both have Hardware Acceleration disabled. Chrome is my default browser although I have swapped to Edge to see if it made any difference. I can watch programmes through Virgin TV Go without any issues. Its only the Sky Sports Player (which has been re-installed numerous times now) that has this issue.
Help!
