Hi I'm sorry if this has been addressed earlier but since the new year 2019 I've had issues with the sky sports app. Everything else is fine but after 5 to 10 seconds the app live TV will freeze buffer and eventually I get the error message PLAYBACK_INACTIVITY_ERROR_OTT.
I'm lost with what to do to fix it I've deleted the app and reinstalled it still the same issue I've cleared memory off the phone still no luck.
I've tried other phones and tablets and I still have the same problem Even though WiFi or 4g it freezes and is unwatchable Its really frustrating and if anyone knows of a fix please let me know otherwise I'll have to consider my options!
Called Virgin and received their excellent customer service again.
1st call spent 30mins talking to a guy who had no idea what I was talking about and then he eventually hung up on me.
2nd call went slightly better, got passed through to technical support who eventually said it's a sky issue and there's nothing they can do. Said it's likely to happen during the peak sports. The peak sports we pay money to watch.
So in conclusion, Virgin aren't really sure what the problem is but are confident they can't fix it.
