Error CIE-2000 when using Sky Sports app with Virgin Media credentials

Hi. I've tested positive for COVID-19, self-isolating in my bedroom but can't view the Ryder Cup Sky Sports channel via my Virgin UK Media ID on Windows 10. Please assist!

Hi Nicollers,

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

You can no longer use the Sky Sports app on a computer.

Have you tried the  Sky Sports Player?

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/watching-sky-sports 

"Go to skysport.com and select Log In

  1. Select the Virgin TV logo to the left of the Sky sign section in and then log in using your My Virgin Media username and password
  2. You can then choose a channel to watch from any of your subscribed Sky Sports channels.
  3. When you select a show to watch you’ll be prompted to download and install the Sky Sports Player. Once installed, your content will start playing, and your device will be automatically registered."

Sorry to hear that you have tested positive for Covid-19, wishing you a speedy recovery.

 

Apologies that you are experiencing difficulty watching Sky Sports, what browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your casche and using a different browser?

I have tried clearing the cache and have used Chrome, Edge and Firefox. None work and I still get:

Can you please confirm if you have cookies enabled and that the page is listed as trusted within your browser?

 

Please also check that your browser is set to allow protected content and that pop ups are enabled.
