Re: Virgin Media failing miserably. Speed unbearably slow after 4pm most days.

All I can say is...hang in there and hope for a fix OR...abandon ship and look for a better deal elsewhere.

Your BQM graphs don't look too terrible although they do support your case for poor internet between 4PM and 11PM.

In my case, the BQM graph looks much worse throughout the whole day. I am also getting 50 kB/s upload speeds today which makes working from home impossible.

@drbrainsol I feel for you, that is truly terrible. I'm sure my internet is not the worst out there. but when you work all day and you want to just pop online with some friends for a game on the Xbox or Playstation at the end of the day... you just can't online gaming is impossible.

This is not a service anyone should have to accept.

Re: Virgin Media failing miserably. Speed unbearably slow after 4pm most days.

My Broadband is still falling off the face of the earth AGAIN!

Tried calling the phoneline again, the automated message has mixed it up and now the fault in our area will be fixed by 9AM? Virgin Media, the company that will do anything to try and give you false hope!

Is anyone going to actually help me?

Re: Virgin Media failing miserably. Speed unbearably slow after 4pm most days.

Sorry to see you have this problem. The truth of the matter seems to be that Virgin are totally unable to provide their advertised speeds in London or areas of high demand. While the company has a responsibility to recognise this and address this, I also assume this is an issue that the infrastructure is not in place. Is anyone aware of companies that are providing the speeds they advertise? I am not sure if it is worth the risk of moving companies at a time that this pitiful service at least allows me to work and my kids to study some of the time. I am getting 40Mgb to 50 Mgb day and night on at M200 package. It is pitiful.
