Only some companies, usually very big ones like major ISPs and Cloudflare etc, have peering arrangements at colocation centres. The VPN traffic will be going via a different route. Also depending on where the VPN exit node is, traffic would look like it is originating from a different location so wouldn't be peered at Telehouse London.
Hello Martin, thank you for your response, since the start of yesterday i am now running at consistently full speeds 24/7 again so whatever the issue was prior seems to of corrected itself. I still have a technician's visit booked for Saturday and won't cancel this until i am confident whatever the issue was has now corrected itself and won't suddenly return. Are you able to tell me if all my power levels are within spec please?
Prior to yesterday without the VPN i was getting consistent speeds on a wired connection of 2-8mbps throughout the afternoon/evening (also confirmed by VM), with pings of around 60 though i was still able to access YouTube and play 4K videos with these speeds. With the VPN, i was getting considerably faster speeds (200mb+) wireless and wired.
