Re: Speed <1mb, reset only clears temporarily

Not had chance to BUT it was turned off and router rebooted. Speed came back up for a while but now back to <1mb again.

Re: Speed <1mb, reset only clears temporarily

Have now drive all the coax connectors inside and outside. Son said they were very tight but has undone and done back up finger tight as instructed.

Speed still really bad ☹️

Can't stress enough the importance of checking each and every coax connection, inside and outside.  I resolved a similar problem this week by doing exactly this.

Re: Speed <1mb, reset only clears temporarily

Son went thru all of them, undid and back to finger tight as advised.  But will see if I can get one of family to go back thru and check again

I've escalated that for a staff response.  Nothing obviously wrong with the power levels or noise, but BQM is real Hammer Horror material

Re: Speed <1mb, reset only clears temporarily

Good Morning JustJaneP,

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums and I'm terribly sorry to see you've been having service issues with the broadband services.

I've been able to look into the stats of the hub, and everything appears to be within spec. In addition, there appears to be no timeouts on the equipment

Our systems are showing a possible Wi-Fi fault, can you tell me if you have slow speeds over a wired connection? Can you also tell me if your speed issues occur in the same room as the hub?

It would also be handy to know if the Wi-Fi extended can be temporarily removed to see of this improves the service at all?

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Re: Speed <1mb, reset only clears temporarily

Hi,

We removed the extender temporarily and it made no difference. It is currently back on but will take off again.

Speed is slow on wired and WiFi.

WiFi speed is slow in all rooms including  near hub.  The connection strength in WiFi is fine it's just the <1mb speed! We are all relying on 4g now instead ☹️

Have asked other son to double check the physical connections today as I can't get down low enough to do them. Might take a while for him to get up!

Jane
