The WiFi settings can be adjusted on homehub 3 to increase your WiFi speed internally. Just copy screenshot settings. The thing that is making the difference is the Channel Width settings. Setting it to 20/40/80 made a significant difference to my wifi speedtests when in the same room as the router. It was suggested by someone on here last summer. Note it doesn't speed up the downstream/upstream connections your router has to the outside world just speeds up the wifi connection between a device and router inside the home.

in a web browser navigate to 192.168.0.1
login with setting password from bottom of homehub.
from menu down left goto advanced settings > wireless > wireless signal
Disable channel optimisation, select 20/40/80 from channel width drop down. I leave channel as auto and I tick enable 5ghz.
Under wireless security section down left menu you can rename your network wireless name (SSID) for the 2.4ghz or 5ghz. I like to separate mine with a _5G after the name on the 5ghz so I can specifically connect to the 5Ghz version on devices that support the faster WiFi.
What this will do is when you search for wireless networks on the device your connecting from it will show "VM2123457_5G" and "VM21234567" or whatever you have renamed them to for the 2.4ghz and 5ghz wireless connections.
