Not getting Gig1 speeds on iPhone 12 Pro

I got the quick start pack today and set up everything 8 hours ago.

I am averaging about 300Mbps over WiFi on my iPhone 12 Pro next to the router. Is this expected?

I tried the SamKnows test and it says the speed to the router is 1040Mbps and the speed to my device is 300Mbps.

iPhone 12 Pro has WiFi 6, however the HUB 4 is WiFi 5:

Depending on the distance from the HUB your iPhone may be connecting at 866Mbps (You can check this is the 'Connected Devices' section on your HUB).

You roughly halve to two thirds the 'Speed (Mbps)' value to work out what speed to expect on wireless.

Hmm, I suppose I need to get a WiFi 6/6E router then.

You still won't see 1Gbps over WiFi even with a WiFi 6 router.

650Mbps, 800Mbps at a push, maybe.

1Gbps is designed to be shared across several devices concurrently, even if technically you can make use of around 940Mbps of bandwidth on one wired device.
