Re: M600 package, speeds very poor after being rock solid for the last 6 months.

Good morning,

Unfortunately the engineer could not attend (he was behind that day) and now the appointment is completely missing from the online portal so I can't reschedule. Can you book this again for us?

Hi @alainchateau

I am so sorry the tech was unable to make your appointment and thank you for letting us know. I have booked another appointment for you which you can view via your My Virgin Media App or by logging in here. You can also reschedule should you allocated time not be suitable.

Re: M600 package, speeds very poor after being rock solid for the last 6 months.

So unfortunately a month after the engineer visit my problems are re-occurring.

Upload speeds have dropped considerably and latency is all over the place. This basically makes any game online unplayable.

On the last engineer visit they changed a connector in the pit outside, power levels were deemed 'in spec'. The engineer suggested if this came back a new HUB should be requested. Could a virgin team member organise this for me?

Re: M600 package, speeds very poor after being rock solid for the last 6 months.

Hi alainchateau,

Thank you for reaching out tom us in our community and welcome back, I am sorry to hear you are getting drops in speed again, I have had a look our end and cannot see any issues at all other than some of your devices have a weak WIFI signal, as you have a 3rd party Router there is only so much we can see.

So we can run further checks please can you put our Router back into Router mode?

Regards

Paul..

Re: M600 package, speeds very poor after being rock solid for the last 6 months.

Hi there,

No issues with the third party router as the BQM is monitoring the line direct.

I will switch the VMR into router mode now.

Perfect just so I can run further diagnostics.

New BQM set up as my WAN changed - click here

Looks already as if ping is spiking with bad jitter which would suggest problem does not lie with 3rd party router as graph looks unchanged.

Re: M600 package, speeds very poor after being rock solid for the last 6 months.

Hi Alain,

I have run further checks and everything looks better than it did when I looked earlier, no issues at all, I can only advise to let the BQM run a little longer with the current set up?

Regards

Paul.
