M350 averages 44mbs

hi 

 ive been with virgin for around 2 years now and no issues been great 

until last Monday 27th when we had the outages im now averaging a speed of 44-60mbs

i have been trying to contact them for the last 3 days via phone and web chat to no success

which is understandable considering whats happening around the world

 

just like to see if anyone could help resolve this issue

 

im area code 18

im on the superhub 3 running on modem mode with a nighthawk as my router 

 

i have reset both hubs and tried the virgin hub on router mode which gave me the same results

also im wired into the routers with cat6 speed tests were run from pc which is also wired  

 

any ideas ?

 

cables are all secure

For anyone whos interested 

 

I've just got off the phone with virgin and they have stated there is massive issues across the country with speeds and dropouts 

and they will be issuing refunds for service loss through the Ofcom guidance/agreement as the guaranteed wired speed is not being met for many people even though there routers are reporting the connection status as being fine.

I did ask why the service status on there website isn't updated which would solve a lot of people having to try and phone in to find out what is happening with there speeds

but apparently there website is also having technical issues this week.

unless you got a fault number they just lied to get you off the phone. Happens all the time

I was also having issues. 

Tried all the things you tried as well but wasnt pushing past 100Mb when paying for 350Mb

What did work in the end, even though a little random. Was putting the virgin hub 3 normal mode then back into modem mode.....Even though it has been restarted and reset multiple times. Actually changing from modem mode and back again is what fixed my issue. Maybe worth trying yourself.

There’s no countrywide “speed and dropout issues”.

Also OFCOM have suspended most complaints etc. due to COVID-19.

wouldn't surprise me to be fair ive been with them 2 years and speeds normally bang on 

ill wait until this lock down blows over and have another go

ive had it unplugged modem mode router mode and still wont push past the 80mbs they tried rebooting it from there end which didn't make a difference ill have another go next week see what they come out with then!

Nope. But I know there’s no countrywide issues.
