Hub3 - Evening buffering, speed and black spot issues, new line just installed.

New installed line and Hub 3 with M100 speed

Slow speeds and buffering (in evening particularly) compared to previous Talk Talk line (65 Mb) router which was never slow or buffered.

Also more black spots with VM wifi compared to previous contract .

Thinking of switching back... even the engineer said Talk Talk routers were really good AS HE WAS INSTALLING THE VM LINE *eye roll*

VM phone lines are busy with hour long queues, any advice to increase speed, reduce buffering and fix black spot zones? Will I need to order powerline adapter?

Thanks!

🙂

Re: Hub3 - Evening buffering, speed and black spot issues, new line just installed.

Beazlebee,

I am a long time Virgin customer who sticks with them because I can't afford to change my email address. Virgin hubs are poor. Plug your laptop onto the hub using an ethernet cable and check the speed using Ookla speed test.It should come up with whatever you are paying for. Then try it on the same room using Wi-Fi. If you are paying for 100mbs I suspect that will drop to about 80mps. If it does, it is the hub that is the weak point.
