I am a long time Virgin customer who sticks with them because I can't afford to change my email address. Virgin hubs are poor. Plug your laptop onto the hub using an ethernet cable and check the speed using Ookla speed test.It should come up with whatever you are paying for. Then try it on the same room using Wi-Fi. If you are paying for 100mbs I suspect that will drop to about 80mps. If it does, it is the hub that is the weak point.
