Hi, I been here before because of the same issue, engineer came round and all was ok with the cables, and yes I am connected directly to hub with cable.
Usually I get the 950Mbs as expected then out of the blue 20 megs, 50 megs, pages dont load, game crashes.
This is an issue on Virgin medias side I am sure, we paying so much and not getting even half whats was promised.
When will someone take the issue seriously and check whats going on?

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community!
From checking our services I can't currently see any readings that would relate to the issues faced.
Are you able to set up what @Adduxi has advised so we can look at some figures?
How to do this;
• Please go to http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode),
• Don't log in, click on 'router status'
• Copy/paste the data from each of the tabs as text into a 'REPLY' as opposed to 'QUICK REPLY'. Please do not include your MAC address.
