Fraudulent text messages pretending to be from Virgin Media
We are aware some of our customers may receive a fraudulent text message that looks like it is from Virgin Media but it is not. Some instances have shown the message being combined into the same text conversation as legitimate texts from Virgin Media.
The message is as follows:
Virgin: There was an error processing your last bill. To avoid interruption, Please update your details via the following link <Link>
The link has been removed for security reasons but to spot a fake one please be aware we will not send specific urls, they will always be generic links such as www.virginmobile.co.uk/youraccount OR virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
