Settling in

Hello

My Virgin Media hub is upstairs in a front bedroom and my telephone is in the hall downstairs, that would mean that I have to run an extension lead down the stairs to plug into the phone, that I do not want to do as it would mean a cable going down the stairs,a trip hazard

Whats a solution

Get a cordless phone and plug the base station into router upstairs and have cordless downstairs.

What about using a phone extension lead clipped down the staircase?

I have a cordless set up already but your answer would mean having to go upstairs every time I came in to look at the answer machine function

My cordless phone flashes to indicate a message left!

So I take it only one handset, better off with a duo setup, answerphone upstairs whilst 2nd handset downstairs.

Do you have any existing phone line extension wiring in the house?
If so you can possibly use that.
