Virgin media not at my new address but is at others on the road

Tuning in

We are due to move to a new house within the next 2-3 weeks and have found out that Virgin Media do not supply the new address, but they supply others in the road.  There is a tranche of around 20 houses, but only around 5-6 are not able to have Virgin at their properties, according to Virgin's broadband checker.  Our new house was built around 1990 and is close to the road where the wiring boxes would be.  Why are we not allowed the same service as the other houses?  We have been Virgin customers for around 25 years.

Hi debmnnx,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear the house you are moving into doesn't have our services, we do advise we cannot provide the services everywhere, this can be down to planning permission and where the ducts were laid when the houses were built 32 years ago, the price it would cost to extend the Network is also taken into account.

Regards

Paul.
