I have waited for 3 years for virgin to be available in my home. Half my street was already enabled years ago, my end is now coming online. Frustratingly the connection can only handle 362mb. If I lived at house number 38, I can get 1130mb, but number 40 being enabled is 362mb max on the new connection. Any idea why that would be, and how long it takes for the infrastructure to be able to accommodate the higher speed???

No idea I'm afraid. Only thing I can think of is cable length from cabinet as I have never heard of this restriction before. Best wait for a VM staff member to get to your post in 2 or 3 days as the rest of us can only speculate.

Hi @colino2020,
Thanks for posting, and welcome back to our Forums.
I'm sorry to hear your property is unable to have speeds of up to 1GB. I've taken a look at your area, and it does appear that the maximum speeds differ between some properties.
The maximum speeds at a property can depend on various factors such as local network capacity and distance from the cabinet. However, rest assured, that the maximum speeds will most likely be increased over time as our Network Teams will work on improving the network. Unfortunately, we cannot provide timescales for these works.
Cheers,
