Removal of damaged and empty cabinet

I have had 2 (seemingly) empty green cabinets in front of my house for over 20 years that have never been worked on by any engineers.

They are incredibly rusty and recently the doors fell open damaging my car door!

I am trying to find out how to request these get removed before they cause any further damage or lead to an accident should the door fall off again and a child touches the (still live??) power cables.

Hi @pittsrd

You should either speak with the Cabinets Team on 0333 000 5925 (option 3), or post the full details ie cabinet numbers, street name and post code, and point out any landmarks or junctions nearby  <<< here >>>

The cabinet shown could still be in use. Can you get a photo of the internals of the other cabinet.

Thank you for the cabinets team number 👍, will give them a call tomorrow and see what I can find out.

I don't have a picture of the other cabinetts as the door is currently on at the moment but that is also empty like the left cabinet in the picture. There are 2 other cabinets about 20 feet down the road which have been worked by VM engineers and seem to actually serve the street.

Hi pittsrd, thanks for the message and welcome to the forums.

This would need to be reported to the cabinet team so that this can be looked into.

Please let us know how it goes.

Kind regards, Chris.
