Re: How to report damage to street equipment

Location CH66 4LL (26). Green box number S1508307, pole 872.  Cable has detached from house and is sagging across 2 roads to post by box.  Cable currently wrapped onto house drain pipe.  Reported last week over phone and advised nothing can be done due to Gov Covid guidelines?

Re: How to report damage to street equipment

Hi first of all are you sure it's a virgin box as all there cables are under ground and don't go over roads etc in the air, if it is which I doubt, the box report number is 0330 333 0444 this is an automated number so have the details to hand. Regards Micky

Are you sure it's VM as they don't use poles.

Try Openreach for equipment connected to a pole

https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/damage-health-and-safety

and further info from a similar recent post here

Re: How to report damage to street equipment

Hi Gater474,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great having you on board with us in the Community.

I've double checked our cabinet for the postcode and neither of them have the reference number you have reported. As well as this, as already mentioned by other users, our cables run under the ground and are not attached to a pole or go overhead in any circumstance.

The link that goslow has posted will allow you to report the issue to the correct team who can deal with this. 🙂

Thanks,
