No internet and low quality TV upstairs only.

I have a bit of a strange setup, I'll explain this morning when I got up the internet was not connecting and the upstairs Tivo box was acting terrible and all scrambled, I did the usual tests whilst I restarting everything and visual checks.  I rang 150 and they did there tests and explained there sending me a new router out, since then I've disconnected all the wires and checked the continuity, and I've taken my router and installed it down stairs which it is now working, Looking at the install, there is a 15v transformer going into a downstairs power inserter, Looking at the splitter box on the wall outside there is no light showing which it says is a power loss, I've checked all the wires here and the 15v adapter is working ok, It's like the 1st connection is working ok but the upstairs split from the box is faulty (wires are ok). Do I wait for the new router to arrive or ring virgin again and request a engineer visit, I really don't think a new router will fix my issue.

Regards

not sure what you are testing. there won't be a voltage on the coax line

Re: No internet and low quality TV upstairs only.

I've only tested the output coming from the transformer and going into the the power inserter, as for the other coax wires just making sure the wires are not broken.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: No internet and low quality TV upstairs only.

got ya. It sounded line you were testing for the 15v on the coax.

Sounds like you'll need an engineer to replace the booster
