Just moved in to new flat and whilst trying to get everything else sorted, I ordered broadband without thinking too much about it since I was allowed the self install option so assumed what I saw was the coaxial. Hub arrived today and I realised the sockets I saw are not VM Coaxial but just standard TV I presume, which the cable obviously doesn't fit.
there is a VM telephone box though.
Guessing I need VM out to install the actual box?
Since I'm guessing the self install option was allowed since another tenant in the build has VM Installed

You are only sent a Quickstart pack if the premises previously had VM. Try looking for an external box and trace the wire from it. Otherwise call the pre-installs team on 0800 052 1734 8AM- 9PM Monday - Friday or 8AM-6PM Saturday and Sunday
