  • Just upgraded with an additional mini box in bedroom. Cannot get any tv channels. Getting error code CS2004 - check cables.

Able to watch box sets, movies, recordings no problem. Just no TV channels.

Anyone have any ideas?

The live channels are broadcast channels & come directly to the box via the white coaxial cable. It won't work without that connection, so if its not plugged in you won't get any channels. If you haven't got a coax outlet where the box is you need a manned install.

I have the mini box connected to a white coaxial cable which comes from under the floor. I thought that was live. May not be then.

Do my recorded programmes and boxsets, etc not come through the coaxial as well then?

Where my main coaxial comes into the house it only goes to a 2 way splitter. One for the main box and one for the hub. Do I need an additional splitter for the mini box

Your VM Hub, Master V360 & Mini V360 all have to be connected to the coaxial cable. So you need a manned install to put in a 3 way splitter & an additional cable run if the existing coax is not VMs white specialist coax. The box has a cable tuner for broadcast channels that come direct off the coax. If you don't connect it won't work, the same as if you fired up a satellite receiver without connecting it via coax to a dish

All other services including recordings come via your home network from the Virgin hub.

Hi Chalmers1967,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, it has been a while, hope you are well, sorry to hear your Mini Box isn't showing any channels which may point to the connection you have used not being Live, I was able to locate you on our system with the details we have for you and I was unable to see if you had spoken to us, have you now been able to get the box set up or do you still need help?

Regards

Paul.
