With our home workers we are using Bria VOIP software. A new home worker has Virgin Media Hub 3.0 and Bria will not connect, reporting an error with server not responding. The settings work perfectly on my laptop, using Plusnet as the ISP.
I have been reading a few article stating the Hub 3.0 doesn't support VOIP fully and that there is no way to switch off SIP ALG, however they are dated in 2020 and before. Is this still the case?
The only kind of VOIP that the HUB3 supports is the telephone input. For anything else you would typically have your own VOIP hardware and simply route it through the HUB3 as any other kind of internet traffic.
Maybe that have some kind of internet firewall or anti virus which is blocking the product?
I don't have any problems using VOIP applications myself, but then again, my router is in modem mode, not sure if that would make a difference.
