Hello, further to my post yesterday (https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/QuickStart-set-up-and/Internet-Dropping-Intermittently-High-lat...), which was moved to https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Holding/Re-Internet-Dropping-Intermittently-High-latency-and-pa... (apparently, since I get an "access denied" when I click on it, and today the original message from @jem101 about moving my post to "another part of the community" has vanished), yesterday night my router updated to the 350Mb fibre (which I had contracted a few days earlier), but I'm still experiencing constant drops in connection. As I mentioned in my post, this happens since I replaced the 3.0Hub with the new 4.0.Do I need to re-post my network logs? Here's my BQM:
The more posts I read here about the Hub 4, the more I think it was a bit rushed. Can you go back to the Hub3 as it will still cope with 350mb.?
Otherwise post the logs and power levels.
Your BQM is horrendous by the way, one of the worst I've seen in a while, and it's a wonder you are getting any service at all .....
No, I cannot since I returned it the same day I installed the hub4. Then left for the weekend, came back to this. Worse thing is that I'm WFH and it's a nightmare. Here are my logs:
3.0 Downstream channels
Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) SNR (dB) Modulation Channel ID
Channel Lock Status RxMER (dB) Pre RS Errors Post RS Errors
3.0 Upstream channels
Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID
Channel Channel Type T1 Timeouts T2 Timeouts T3 Timeouts T4 Timeouts
Time Priority Description
Pretty sure your upstream channels should be 64 QAM not 8
I'm also sure that the downstream power levels are way out of spec (-6 to +10 is in spec).
SNR is also terrible.
You have an issue with your line that requires an engineer visit for further investigation.
Thanks for getting back to us. How have your services been since you last posted?
