Account holder not present for installation

Due to Covid 19 I am not able to be at my house for the coming installation (scheduled for the 4th of April) as I am out of town, but a friend can be at the house to make sure the installation can happen and let the engineer inside.

My question is whether the account holder needs to be present for the installation or if the engineer just needs to get into the property?

Re: Account holder not present for installation

The engineer isn't going to check ID, he just needs someone over the age of 18 to be present for the install and to sign off on the paperwork that the job was completed, aslong as your friend knows where you need everything it should be fine

Re: Account holder not present for installation

Hello, @Jmmelons

It is not essential that the customer is present all virgin media ask is that the person is over the age of 18, confident of where you want equipment and can inform engineer on how you want the cables to look if we have to run cables in or around your property.

I hope this helps with your query.

Please kudos my reply if it has been helpful for you.

Many thanks
