Removal of BBC catch-up content for VHD & V+ boxes

Virgin Media Staff

We’re making some changes - from Monday 1st April 2019, BBC will be removing new catch-up content from our older VHD & V+ boxes. Existing content will also be gradually removed until Monday 8th April 2019 – at which point there will no longer be any BBC catch-up content available on either of these boxes.

Red Button services

The BBC will also remove their Red Button services from these boxes on Monday 1st April – this will include Red Button services for BBC News and BBC Weather, which will no longer be available.

You can still enjoy all this great content

You can still enjoy all of this great content as well as BBC’s new Red Button+ service (which offers more content and better access) if you upgrade to our Virgin TV V6 or TiVo box. There’s no cost to upgrade, and you can give us a call on 0345 4541111.

Your contract and monthly price will stay the same and you’ll enjoy the same great benefits, like inclusive free servicing and repairs.

What happens if I don’t upgrade?

As your older Virgin TV box will no longer be supported, some of your services will start to be turned off and you may lose some functionality.
