Can't even register loss of service on their site. Tried calling but the automated answering machine tells me that there are no problems and that I should restart the hub then they hang up.

Check the local service status line - 0800 5610061.
Loss of service scenarios are very often specific to street/postcode-level which the automated line is usually most reliable for.

Nothing in B74 either. Apparently they state it is a known issue with an engineer on site (where?) and are hoping it will be sorted by appropriately 16:30pm this evening. Will see.
Not sure if phone and O2 mobile is having same problems as we are also having problems with landline and an O2 phone!!!!

O2's mobile network uses different technology to Virgin Media's cable network and the issues are not likely to be related.
Sometimes faults can occur at switch/hub sites or elsewhere in the network - not necessarily at the streetcab that you can see.

Yep, both Broadband and TV down in B73 - website now says will be fixed by 31st October 18.50!
Just switched from Sky - 4th issue in as many months, had zero issues with Sky in 5+ years- an absolute joke of a service

If there is a fault, there is a fault. VM do not disclose the nature of faults to users, it could contain confidential information that competitors could use.
