If its all working fine then dont try and fix anything - is it?
At the moment they will only upgrade for free if the SH2 is faulty - or if you move to a package that needs a Hub3/4. In theory they should give a more stable network connection but I dont believe the wifi is any better.
I still use the SH2 - albeit I am in modem mode with my own router and wireless equipment.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired 2 WiFi,) SH2 in modem mode with Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On VIVID200, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.
