No broadband

My already intermittent broadband has been out for 8 hours with a green flashing light. Bass light solid green, arrow light flashing green, wireless light solid green. It’s a new installation and I’m the first customer in my area (20)

FYI area codes are not geographic. you will not be the first person in area 20 as that is a billing code, not an area code.
there will be 100,000 people in that area code 🙂

it looks like I have to wait till Wednesday for an engineer. 

 

is this my only option?

As well as trying the “check service,” Area status webpage" (link at top right of this forum), also try the “free & automated” Service Status number - 0800 561 0061 - which usually gives the most up to date info. and tells you of more local issues down to postcode level. These may not be listed on the Area Status web page (Areas are not “Geographic” they are billing areas) as that usually only covers faults affecting 1000’s of customers) so phone may give you more info, but even that wont cover problems affecting just a few customers.

I’ve called the number and it said there are no issues in my post code. 

I checked the cables from the street to my house in case the storms have affected them. Everything seems ok. 

Internet still down now for about 20 hrs
