I've just gone from M600 to Gig1 and installed the SH4 this evening. I've now got the red ring (of death) around the top of the router and when I connect the status varies between No RF signal detected and Activation Failed. I've called and been told that the hub has been now been activated manually but no change.
Any thoughts on where next? Given the time of day, I'm not hopeful anything will change overnight.

Reinstall your previous hub. If it works then it means that the Hub4 has not be activated onto your account, call Equipment activation on 0800 953 9500. If your previous hub does not work it mean that the hub4 has been activated, but it is possibly faulty and will need a technician’s visit to rectify.

You were bang on - old hub still worked as although the hub had been activated, the package hadn't. Sorted now.
