Re: Low Speeds Wired and Wifi m350

If the "anything else" is a console then 40Mb is to be expected since you'll never achieve full speeds on a console.

Re: Low Speeds Wired and Wifi m350

When we first had virgin media we had 2 wired connections and they were both hitting 200mb no trouble then a week later it just all went downhill

Re: Low Speeds Wired and Wifi m350

It may be worth trying the suggestion in this link:

https://thetechieguy.com/boost-your-ps4-internet-speed-lag

  1. Log into your PS4
  2. Head up to Settings
  3. Find the Network settings
  4. Choose WiFi (ideally select LAN if you have a wired connection)
  5. Select CUSTOM
  6. Connect to your home WiFi
  7. Select automatic settings until you see the DNS screen.
  8. Choose Manual and enter 1.1.1.1 as your Primary DNS and 1.0.0.1 as your Secondary DNS which is CloudFlare’s DNS. If this doesn’t increase your speed, you can also try to enter Google’s DNS which is: 8.8.8.8 for the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the Secondary DNS.

Re: Low Speeds Wired and Wifi m350

Try changing the port the console is connected to on the router, I'm encountering a problem where my wired connection is slow until I switch port.

Re: Low Speeds Wired and Wifi m350

Changing DNS won't resolve speed limitations
