IPv6

I've been keeping an eye on the situation with IPv6 addresses on VirginMedia for a long time now. I see a response from a community member stating that it's not something they're looking into but with the IPv4 pools all reserved by other companies now, the needs for it are growing. Does anyone know if there is even a way to log interest? I don't particularly want to send it to their presumably already busy support team at a time like this but it's still important that they are made aware.

Re: IPv6

You need to learn patience.

ln short the answer to when we will get IPv6 is one day.

Certainly not in the foreseeable future.

See thread above re IPv6.  It’s only been going for 10 years. So I guess you will have to wait a bit longer .....

Re: IPv6

I'm well aware it's been a long time, I don't even expect them to change until they actually run out of IPv4 addresses at this rate...

Re: IPv6

If Virgin don’t care about implementing IPv6 in its network it will be nice to stop blocking/reducing speeds on IPv6 tunnels on their connections as explained here: https://medium.com/@jamesmacwhite/is-virgin-media-traffic-shaping-protocol-41-6in4-ipv6-c1b8b6e645f7
