Upgraded to Hub 4 and 1 GB. Am just over 1m from exchange.
Several issues
Connecting Windows Dell XPS 13 and couple iphones.
I have reset Hub4 multiple times and now bored. Never fixes issue. Seems to run a bit faster afterwards but not proper speed
Samknows says getting 1GB into Hub 4. However for all of last week and more I was unable to run any test on Samknows as it said there was no router ( which is a complete porky pie).
Speed tests on Dell over wifi (whether 2m away or on floor above) are erratic and change significantly in the space of minutes. Flashes of >500MB (rare like unicorns) and most of time mid 200's download (goes from low 200's to 400) and 50ish upload. Today and less than 3m clear line of sight from Hub4 the download was 35.9 and upload froze.
On virtually every zoom/teams/googlemeet call my screen freezes and internet connection claims to be unstable.
My PC is up to date and about a year old and is not a slouch machine
What is going wrong? How do I fix? What makes speed so erratic? I need to be able to do normal VC.
Please do not tell me to hard wire my PC into the hub. I WFH on 1st floor (pretty much above the Hub) and am not able to run a cable from one to the other

I'll check my wifi cards.
Having read the threads there are 2 issues.
Dell not fixed it.
Virgin not fixed it.
Both are responsible.
And both appear to have sat on the side lines for the last 2 years doing nothing

"It's not our fault, it's theirs".... is a familiar refrain.
Could you "disable" the Dell card and plug in a USB wifi dongle instead? These are only £5-20

In Killer Control Centre I disabled Killer Prioritization Engine. No change. What do I do next?
There is a Virgin infrastructure issue as well. Last night SamKnows showed the speed to the virgin router was 1058. I ran the same speed test a short while later and the speed to the Hub 4 was 624. This is NOT the speed at my PC. (I have screenshots of all my speed tests and using different speed test tools)
I now have 2 known issues
And I'll add a third issue as it shows a trend with these Virgin routers. There is a incompatibility WIFI issue between Virgin routers and Naim Muso streaming devices. I recently had to move my Naim Muso and hardwire it into the router as it consistently dropped in and out on WIFI. You can find all these discussions on the Naim Muso forums
Virgin, please rectify the faults and what is your solution for me?

I dont speak for VM... but I suspect that what they will do is.....
Dell wifi - nothing. Neither they or Dell have done anything so far so why would that change.
Speeds - you need to monitor speeds for a protracted period and see whether they are failing to meet the VM speed guarantee over that period (see the T&C's).
Naim Muso - nothing. Its working fine on ethernet and VM dont guarantee connections on wifi to 3d party equipment.
Your best option for solutions lay on these fora - and/or the Naim ones.

Thanks.
I found this thread earlier after you asked me to look up Killer issue
I have turned off Killer Prioritization Engine in the Killer app. There was no increase in the speed and not sure about stability issues yet
I have been through the advanced settings of Killer via the Device manager settings and it says it is all ok.
Am writing a long note to dell customer support right now as this is pretty rubbish

Working through the escalation within Dell
Killer is soldered to the motherboard.
I took an old PC and connected it to the home broadband over WiFi.
It is faster on all speed tests than the XPS though still not delivering at the capacity of the 1G connection.
This forum does not allow this message to be tagged with "virgin and dell incompatibility" so I am including it in the main text
