I received the new hub 5 and had a nightmare setting it up. I changed the SSID to the same as the old Hub 3. Set up all of the 5Ghz devices (Echo dot) and proceeded to set up my plugs on 2.4Ghz. Halfway through everything disconnected and I had to factory reset the hub. Tried again, same thing. Tried again and set up the 2.4 Ghz first. This seemed to work, ......for a month then everything went off line. Factory reset again as nothing worked. Set up the SSID again and nothing would be recognised. Had to change the SSID to comething new with new passwords. Managed to set up most of the devices and Echo dots but I still have a few plugs which will NOT connect. It is a nightmare hub!

What is described above is a very well known issue of the Hub 5 when both SSID are changed.
Unless this is resolved in Hub 5 software update LG-RDK_6.9.35-2302.6 which started to be deployed a few days ago, the only way forward is put the Hub 5 into Modem mode add add a Wi-Fi router that can you fully control.

Hi, thanks. Where would I download the update?

There are no manual update options. We have to wait for VM to push out the update in our area.
