Hub 4 , resetting passwords and WiFi channel names

Hi , is there anyone out here that knows why my new hub 4 keeps changing my passwords and my 2 channel (2.4 and 5 ) names back to factory names every so often . Very annoying as some of my WiFi connect devises won't sign back in as they don't recognize the factory names that the hub 4 keeps resetting them to. 

I have security cameras that won't work after the hub changes the channel name back to factory which is kind of pointless.

You need to disable the Smart Wifi or Intelligent Wifi and channel optimisation on the Hub or it seems to believe you want the merged SSID.

Even so... it might just randomly reset back to that as it has a mind of its own 🙂

Try it and see - if you still have problems you can solve it permanently with your own router

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Yes - please keep us posted if this issue persists! At the time of writing, there's no issues on the line that could be causing this.

So after a few weeks I can confirm that no , turning off smart WiFi hasn't sorted it . My router resets itself periodically,which I assume is programmed into the hub4  or done by virgin themselves and this is when I have issues again with all my passwords and WiFi names changing back to default causing all my tech to disconnect from the network .

How often is the reset occurring please? Is this happening at any particular time of day?

I'm sure exactly every 10 days ? 2 weeks maybe
