Hub 3.0 always showing amber and cuts out.

Tuning in


my new virgin Hub 3.0 router is always amber. It works in the same room i am in but is slow upstairs. I’ve asked for another box so they are sending that but am concerned about why it would be that inefficient. I’ve followed all the steps to make sure the wifi router is free from interference and restarted but why would it still be amber and not be able to connect properly without additional little boxes?

you can log to the hub and post as text downstream and upstream

Amber light means nothing - its the common symptom of a failing./fading 1p LED in the Hub3. It has nothing to do with any connectivity issues.

By other little boxes - do you mean VM Pods and do you have them ?


I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 1 WiFi, 1 on PA) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On 250Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Hi thanks for your reply. I don’t have the boxes now but I’m waiting for them. I just didn’t have this issue with my last provider.
