Help - Cannot find http://192.168.0.1 - to access H3 settings to change password etc

Please can someone explain why I cannot find the http://192.168.0.1 page so I could log-in to check or change my router settings.

I am soooooooo frustrated - I cannot tell you.

I signed up for and started using the virgin gear 10 weeks ago and I have now realised I would like to improve security

hiya @H3settings first would be rebooting hub, or could try via http://192.168.100.1 if all fails would be trying pin hole reset via -> https://help.virginmedia.com/system/templates/selfservice/vm/help/customer/locale/en-GB/portal/20030...

Re: Help - Cannot find http://192.168.0.1 - to access H3 settings to change password etc

Same problem here. U

I have just received the mobile wi-fi dongle IMO but Sony Experia smart phone wont sign in to 192.168.0.1, so can't go any further, and Instructions woefully inadequate.

I've noted the response below and will try it, but any other suggestions gratefully received. Is there any difference between 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 or any other number series?

Cheersw

Ken

@killieken if using a a IMO would need to disconnect from your hub wifi.. since that is the default gateway of the hub.

as for '192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1' this can depend on router what subnet it works off.. since some routers will issue ip addresses start 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 (this is a very basic explanation) with the hub uses 192.168.0.2 to 254 for devices.

Re: Help - Cannot find http://192.168.0.1 - to access H3 settings to change password etc

First, make sure 192.168.0.1 is your IP address.

To find your router IP address: click Start, type cmd in the search box, then, select Command Prompt. Next, in a new window, type ipconfig then hit Enter. You can see your IP address next to Default gateway.

If 192.168.0.1 is your IP address and you are unable to access it. The first solution is to reboot your router. You can do this by switch your router off, wait for a few seconds, then turn it back on again.

If the problem still persists, try resetting your router to its factory settings.

Hi ,

You must  http://192.168.0.1  into the address bar at the top of the page not the search engine, I didnt realise this at first so maybe its a common mistake.

TIP: You never need to use a search engine, just type what you are looking for into the bar at the top and it will automatically go to your default search engine.

I always use a wired connection to log into my hub or router and never have a problem.
